Picture House Centre for Photography   (this may be only of interest to people in the Midlands region of England: based in Leicester, this Arts Council supported non-profit organization provides facilities for professional and amateur photographers (i.e. darkroom, digital imaging, studio, copy facilities) against a moderate charge on the basis of an annual (or 6-monthly) subscription fee (I scanned in all the images on this site there); also runs workshops ,exhibitions, talks by top photographers and gives access to an extensive photographic library.
Please note that Picture House has gone out of business as of 31. March 2006 due to funding cuts by the Arts Council; I shall keep this link here still for a while just for information (and because their website is still online).
